Gurudev Prem Siddharth visit : (21st May)

On the afternoon of 20th May, Gurudev Prem Siddharth visited an ardent devotee of Lord Sri Krishna, Smt Gayatri mataji’s residence at D.D colony to attend the satsanga that was blessed by a renowned scholar and an internationally respected authority on Shastra, Parama Pujya Sri Sri Sri Swami Tatvavidanananda Saraswati.

At the satsanga Gurudev Prem Siddhartha enlightened the audience with his talk on the importance of “Adhyayanam”. He explained how Adhyayanam is of paramount importance to a Sadhaka- a pursuer of spiritual knowledge. Gurudev said that this Adhyanam can never be replaced by any amount of Sadhana in the form of bhajan, pilgrimage, worship, etc. Sadhana is important to the extent that it should all culminate into Adhyayanam, the indepth study of the pramana sastra. He spoke about how the lack of Adhyayanam will lead to a dwindling of the initial enthusiasm exhibited in the pursuit of spirituality and the pursuer will not find the interest and enthusiasm continuing in the path of spiritual progress as much as he did at the beginning. This will set monotony in his pursuit and a cause a gradual weaning from the spiritual path.

After Gurudev’s talk, Parama Pujya Sri Tattvavidananda Saraswathi gave a very brilliant commentary on the Vedantic statement “na karmana na prajaya dhanene tyagenaike amrutatvamanashuhu”, which revealed that immortality can be gained solely by renunciation and not at all by any sort of actions, progeny or amasing wealth. His talk on the statement pulsated with the wisdom from the depths of Shastras and enlightened the devotees.

The satsanga concluded with some devotional songs by Smt. Gayatri mataji. All the devotees were blessed with mahapraadam.
