Sri Adi Sankaracharya Jayanthi celebrations: (27th April to 8th May)

As a part of Jagadguru Sri Adi Sankaracharya's jayanti, Arsha Vidya Vahini has organised Jnana Yagna Saptaham on “Geeta Taatparya Nirnayam” in the light of the Geeta Bhashyam of Sri Sankaracharya. All the seven discourses of our Gurudev were in a way an introduction to Sri Sankara Bhashyam on Geeta.

On 29th April Sankara jayanthi was celebrated in the evening from 6:30 to 9:30 at our Adhyayana mandali. All the students did Veda parayanam, performed shodashopachara puja to Sri Sankara, Sri Guru Nama Sankeertanam etc.

In his talk Pujya Gurudev said that being a spiritual seeker, every one of us is ever indebted to Sri Sankara for His Bhashyams, Prakaranams and inumerable hymns addressed to almost all our Ista-Devatas. On this day let us all offer our prostrations, as a sign of Saranagathi, to the holy lotus feet of BHASHYAKARA BHAGAWAN SRI SANKARACHARYA.

A sumptuous feast was arranged by the regular students of Adhyayana mandali.
