Inauguration of VYAKHYA Courses

After a brief hiatus during summer, VYAKHYA – The School of Vedanta Studies, a wing of Arsha Vidya Vahini, reopened for classes on the 1st of July 2017. The evening was further made special with the commencement of the new learning module of
foundational courses, with the opening course - “Where We Stand?”

Inaugural Course - Where We Stand?

This inaugural course was intended by Pujya Acharya Swamiji to provide a comprehensive introduction and a strong foundation for the future courses.
The registration formalities for the course commenced at 6pm on the 1st of July. 40 registered participants were handed identity cards before they proceeded for refreshments. Before the beginning of the class, the participants were handed course-kits with stationary and other relevant literature.

The class commenced with an invocation to Ishwara who adorned the altar as Lord Dakshinamurthy.  After the discourse by Pujya Acharya Swamiji, the session was concluded with Shanti Patham.
Similar to the first day, the concluding session of the course began on the evening of 2nd July 2017 after the participants had taken the refreshments. Invocation was followed by Pujya Acharya Swamiji’s discourse. As per the design of the course module, after His discourse, Pujya Acharya summarized the teaching with the aid of a presentation. The participants were then evaluated with a short exam based on their learnings from the two-day course. In conclusion, a handout with a summary of the teachings of the course was given to the participants. This course was successfully completed with the chanting of Shanti Patham.
 
In this two-day course, Pujya Swamiji deliberated upon the uniqueness of Human form of life by systematically presenting Scriptural teachings and a few scientific findings. The speciality of Humans that sets them apart from Animals was brought out, making us realize our true potential. The Sanskrit slokas, Upanishadic & Bhagavadgita statements and the acronyms served as helpful aids to retain the teaching.

“Happiness to See? to Seek” will be held on the 5th and 6th of Aug 2017
“GOD: Revelation & Relevance” will be held on the 9th and 10th of Sep 2017.
